Calvin the Blanket Gobbler

VetBilling.com Success Story from:

Jayme Fantini

Dogs sometimes eat things they’re not supposed to, and Calvin decided he wanted to join the “I Ate a Bad Thing and It Will Be Expensive” club.

The 8 year old pit bull apparently thought it might be fun to gobble up a blanket…but his mom Jayme sure didn’t agree.

She called the incident “scary and stressful” – not just because it was life-threatening for Calvin if he didn’t have surgery to remove it – but because it also threw her an unwelcome financial curveball.

Fortunately both Calvin and Jayme lucked out when they went to Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty. The hospital’s amazing veterinary team saved Calvin’s life.

And because the hospital extends in-house payment plans managed by VetBilling, Jayme was given the option to spread the expense over time in payments that were comfortably affordable for her budget. She chose a payment plan with 8 bi-weekly payments, so Calvin’s foreign body removal surgery was paid off in just 3 months.

We’re happy to report that Calvin is doing just fine now…and hopefully he’s sworn off blanket-eating.

VetBilling's purpose is to expand financial access to veterinary care for pet owners across the entire socioeconomic spectrum. Our mission is to reduce economic euthanasia and owner surrender of pets when pet owners can’t pay the full upfront cost of veterinary care all at once. We accomplish this by giving veterinarians the tools to successfully offer a variety of novel payment solutions, including in-house payment plans, pay-in-advance plans, pet savings accounts, and monthly wellness plans.

Using our secure, cloud-based web software, veterinarians can set up customized payment solutions for clients in just minutes. VetBilling manages all payments for the veterinary practice, and provides full payment recovery and collection services if necessary.
