One Monday night I noticed Dexter, my 5-year-old tuxedo cat, was having litter box issues. Tuesday morning, I brought him to the vet and thanks to the vet, the kindness of family and a VetBilling® payment plan, the vet was able to successfully treat Dexter’s urinary blockage (which is a lifesaving procedure.) This had to be done twice within 24 hours!
I was just a few days from pay day, and Dexter ended up needing several rounds of medication that I wouldn’t have been able to afford if I’d had to pay everything up front. Between the grace of this program from VetBilling® and the WONDERFUL work of the animal hospital that saved Dexter’s life, I was twice able to keep my troublemaker!
This became even more important within days of his final treatment, because I came home to find his older brother (a 16-year-old tabby), Killer, unresponsive. When I rushed Killer to the vet, they told me he most likely had a blood clot and that due to his age, diabetes, and a heart murmur, it was best to put him down.
If I didn’t still have Dexter after losing Killer, I’m not sure I would have made it through those dark days as I processed the loss of my first pet, who was my constant companion through much of my life.
Thank you so much for this program, VetBilling®. It means more than I can ever express in this note.
P.S. Dexter turned six today and I’m so grateful to celebrate with him!
