A Blessing During a Dark Time

VetBilling.com Success Story from:

Jack Christopher

When Jack’s 14 year old pug, Harley, began having seizures at home, he rushed him to Red River Animal Emergency Hospital (RRAE) in Fargo, ND.

Jack had taken Harley there from time to time over the years and he liked and trusted the hospital staff. They’d always been very good to Harley.

The veterinary team ran a number of diagnostic tests to determine what was causing Harley’s seizures. Unfortunately, it turned out that Harley had a brain tumor.

Given Harley’s advanced age, deteriorating condition, and poor prognosis, Jack made the painful decision to let Harley go.

The cost of all the tests in addition to euthanasia made it difficult for Jack to pay his entire bill all at once. One of the RRAE receptionists suggested that he sign up for a payment plan through VetBilling®.

Jack made a 40% down payment and financed the remaining balance over 6 months, which he paid in full and on time.

Jack took the time to acknowledge both RRAE and VetBilling® in this note of appreciation:

“While this wasn’t the outcome we wanted for Harley and we had to let him go, the hospital was very sympathetic when we explained that we couldn’t pay the entire bill all at once. They recommended VetBilling® so we could set up payments, and it was truly a blessing during a very dark time in our lives. Thank you!”

Jack’s payment plan for Harley:

Total cost: $675.14
Down payment: $294.00
Payments: 6 monthly at $66.52
Status: Paid in full on time.
